What a QR code is good for

A QR code is a square barcode that encodes a short piece of text — almost always a URL. Point a phone camera at it and the link opens instantly, with nothing to type.

That makes a QR code the fastest way to get a form in front of someone standing at a poster, a table tent, a job-site sign, a checkout counter, or a product package.

How this QR code generator works

Type any URL or text, choose the colors and export size, and the code is drawn live in your browser — nothing is sent to a server. Download a PNG for slides and email, or an SVG when you need it razor-sharp on large print.

Keep the foreground noticeably darker than the background so phone cameras can read it reliably, and avoid inverting the two colors.

Error correction and printing tips

QR codes carry redundant data, so they still scan when partly damaged or obscured. Level M is a safe default; choose H when the code is small, on a textured surface, or has a logo placed over the center.

Always keep the quiet-zone margin — the blank border — and test the printed code from the distance people will actually scan it. Point it at a published SimilarForm form to collect responses anywhere.

Questions & answers

Is the QR code generated on a server?+

No. The code is drawn entirely in your browser with an open-source library. The text or URL you enter never leaves the page.

Which error-correction level should I choose?+

M (medium) is a good default. Use H (high) if the code will be printed small, displayed on a textured surface, or have a logo placed over the center — higher correction survives more damage.

PNG or SVG?+

Download a PNG for slides, emails, and quick prints. Download the SVG when you need it razor-sharp at any size — large signage, banners, or vehicle wraps.

Can I use these QR codes commercially?+

Yes. QR Code is an open standard, and any code you generate here is yours to use anywhere — table tents, job-site signage, business cards, packaging.
